Keep Summer Going

Fall began on Saturday, September 22, 2018, but summer doesn’t have to end so quickly. Here are some ideas to prolong those leisurely sunny days.

• Get up early; bike, run, stroll or take a hike each day
• Frame a summer vacation photo for your workplace or in your locker or use as a screensaver
• Camp out in your backyard
• Throw a Pool Party
• Once a week, cook all your meals on the grill
• Take a day or weekend trip to a favorite summer getaway without the crowds
• What makes summer great to you? Take your favorites and try ‘em in the fall
• Visit the beach
• Rosé wine is a taste of summer that’s good all year round
• Prep your garden for next year’s bounty
• Stay barefoot or wearing sandals for as long as possible
• Close your eyes; think of a summer scene that relaxes you or brings a smile. Repeat daily
• Go outside: play, eat, explore
• Plan vacation escapes for each season (for a week or just a long weekend)
• Host a Backyard BBQ with friends and neighbors
